1. Enrollment Agreement
By submitting an enrollment application to Alta Career Academy’s High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) Program, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this document. Enrollment is subject to approval by the administration, and all students must meet the program’s eligibility requirements.
2. Program Overview
The HSED Program is an alternative to the GED and is designed to help students obtain a High School Equivalency Diploma. The program consists of coursework and assessments in five subject areas. Completion of the program requires passing all subject area tests with a minimum score of 35/50.
3. Payment and Fees
The total program cost is $750 unless otherwise specified by the administration.
All payments must be completed before the student is eligible to receive their diploma and transcript.
If a student withdraws before completing the program, they remain responsible for any outstanding balance.
Failure to pay any portion of the balance may result in withholding academic records and possible legal action.
4. Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued once a student has been officially enrolled.
If a student is unable to complete the program due to extenuating circumstances, they may request a deferral or credit towards future enrollment, subject to administrative approval.
5. Attendance and Academic Progress
Students must follow their individualized study plan and meet deadlines for tests and assignments.
Bi-weekly check-ins with an assigned advisor are mandatory to track progress and receive guidance.
Students must maintain active participation throughout the program to ensure timely completion.
6. Academic Integrity
Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or unauthorized assistance on exams will result in disciplinary action, including possible dismissal from the program without a refund.
7. Student Responsibilities
Students must provide accurate and complete information on their enrollment application.
All required documents, including a valid photo ID, must be submitted before enrollment is finalized.
Students must communicate promptly with their advisor regarding any issues affecting their participation in the program.
8. Parent/Guardian Responsibility (For Minors)
If the student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the enrollment agreement.
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that the student adheres to program requirements and payment obligations.
9. Diploma and Transcript Issuance
Diplomas and transcripts will be awarded upon successful completion of all subject tests and full payment of program fees.
Students may request additional copies of transcripts for an administrative fee.
10. Program Modifications and Termination
Alta Career Academy reserves the right to modify the curriculum, program structure, or fees at any time.
The school may terminate a student’s enrollment for non-compliance with program rules, failure to meet financial obligations, or academic dishonesty.
